Job summary

United Dairy Farmers in Columbus, OH is seeking a Shift Leader to deliver the Hi Five Guest Experience and oversee daily store operations during shifts. The role requires leading staff, ensuring safety, and processing transactions in a fast-paced environment.

The position is full-time (37–40 hours per week) with potential 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift coverage. The role emphasizes guest service, compliance with laws, and ethical conduct to maintain store standards.

Qualifications

• Must be legally qualified under applicable state laws to conduct all sales transactions including alcohol and tobacco sales.
• Must follow company policy to ensure safe and efficient operation and to comply with all laws and company policies.
• Excellent guest service orientation and the ability to communicate effectively with customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide the signature UDF Hi Five Guest Experience; greet Guests with a warm, authentic hello and ensure the store is ready for Guests at all times.
• Prepare DipSide items, shakes/malts, ice cream/yogurt cups/cones, sundaes, sodas and hand-packed containers.
• Operate POS system and gas console, handle transactions, and manage cash and coupons accurately.
• Stock shelves, milk boxes, freezers, and dip cabinet; maintain cleanliness and product rotation with attention to expiry dates.
• Maintain store security, manage cash drops, and follow Tobacco/Alcohol Management and Robbery/Violence Deterrence programs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store and parking lot; monitor temperatures of refrigeration equipment.
