Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a friendly, experienced server to support our dining program for residents. You will handle lunch service, bar interactions, wine service, and event support in a fast-paced community setting.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year serving or bartending experience, strong communication, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask while maintaining a professional image. Shifts include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma preferred.
• Previous serving experience required.
• At least 1-year experience as a bartender/server.
• Food Handlers Card.

Responsibilities

• Prepare restaurant for lunch/dining by setting decorations, condiments, napkins and utensils.
• Protect establishment by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol policies.
• Explain chef's specialties and identify wines; answer food prep questions.
• Transmit orders to bar/kitchen; note dietary needs and requests.
• Serve orders and deliver accompaniments from service bars.
• Maintain table setting; replenish utensils; refill water glasses.
• Open and pour wine at the tableside.
• Obtain revenues by totaling charges and processing payments.
• Assist with special events and other duties as needed.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards; address issues with management.
