Job summary

The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated in Short Hills, NJ, is seeking servers who excel in a fast-paced, high-volume setting and take pride in attentive service. You’ll guide guests through the menu, refill beverages, and ensure food arrives promptly and perfectly.

As a vital part of front-of-house, you’ll wow guests with hospitality, build rapport, take accurate orders using a POS, handle payments, and work calmly under pressure.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months serving experience in a full-service restaurant
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
• Strong communication and teamwork
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests, creating a welcoming guest experience
• Build rapport through casual conversation while providing attentive service
• Orchestrate dining experiences in alignment with service standards
• Take and enter accurate orders using a POS system
• Actively listen during guest interactions to anticipate needs
• Share menu knowledge and answer questions about food ingredients
• Guide guests in beer and wine selections
• Coordinate with kitchen to ensure order accuracy and timely service
• Deliver food and drinks with speed and urgency
• Process payments accurately, including cash handling
• Follow alcohol service guidelines and close tasks to stay organized
• Work well under pressure with a positive attitude
