Job summary

Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar is seeking a server to delight guests by exceeding expectations and providing courteous, timely service in a fast-paced dining room. You will greet guests, explain menu items, take orders, and deliver food and beverages using Applebee’s TEAM system.

Responsibilities include pre-bussing, clearing, handling payments, and maintaining a clean, safe work area while anticipating guests' needs to ensure a memorable dining experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to exceed guests’ expectations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong work ethic, with a willingness to take initiative.
• Confident, outgoing demeanor.
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to be mobile for a minimum of 4 hours, bend, stoop and lift up to 20 pounds.
• Be of legal age to serve alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and interacts with every guest to create a friendly upbeat work environment.
• Familiarize guests with the menu and make appropriate suggestions when requested.
• Take guests orders and input them correctly in the POS using the write, repeat and review rule.
• Serve food and beverages using the Applebee’s TEAM delivery system.
• Pre bus table and sweep the surrounding area to keep it clean and comfortable.
• Collect payment from customers in a timely manner using the QR code or POS.
• Completes daily cleaning work tasks and maintains a clean and safe working environment.
• Anticipate guests' needs in order to facilitate an enjoyable dining experience.
