Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking a motivated Server to join our dining team in Huntsville, AL. You will greet guests, take orders, serve food and beverages, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere in line with brand standards.

We value clear communication, reliable teamwork, and a professional appearance. The role requires the ability to work flexible shifts, including holidays, and to obtain TIPS certification within 30 days if not already certified.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Six months Customer Service, hotel or restaurant experience preferred, but not required.
• Must have excellent customer service skills
• Must obtain TIPS certification within 30 days (if not certified).
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer/client focus.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guest with eye contact and a warm welcome as they enter the dining area.
• Maintain a proactive guest service approach at all times.
• Assist with seating guests as needed (in the absence of the hostess)
• Provide fast, friendly professional and responsive customer service to hotel & restaurant guest & staff.
• Serve food and beverage in accordance with standards and in a professional courteous manner.
• Maintain knowledge of all menu items and composition
• Adhere to all Brand Standards regarding Food and Beverage and Service
• Assist with the set up and cleanliness of the Restaurant.
• Assist with clearing and set-up of tables
• Assist with restocking of supplies as needed
• Communicate effectively with Management and other Team Members
• Use Point of Sale (POS) system as required
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor/ manager.
• Perform special daily projects assigned by supervisor/ manager
