Job summary

Tandem Hospitality Group, LLC is seeking a Restaurant Server to greet guests, take orders, and ensure a superb dining experience in Lexington. You will prepare tables, explain menu items and specials, and coordinate with kitchen staff to meet guests' needs.

Qualifications

• One year of prior food and beverage experience preferred.
• Prior guest relations training.
• Knowledge of proper food handling.
• Strong written/verbal communications skills.
• Attention to detail, speed, accuracy, courtesy and teamwork.
• Punctuality and reliable attendance required.
• Food safety training and certification as described by law.
• Experience with computers and POS systems (MS Office/Google) and reservation software (Open Table).
• Ability to push and pull up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers warmly.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards.
• Prepare dining tables for service, laying out napkins and utensils, ensure condiments are refilled, and perform side-work tasks.
• Take guest food and beverage orders accurately.
• Know current menu choices, specialties and deviations.
• Handle table assignments, seating customers, food and drink suggestions, and communicate guest needs to the cooks.
• Ensure a memorable dining experience.
• Open wine tableside and pour wine when needed.
• Record revenue and accept payments (cash, credit, room charges, direct billing).
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Assist with special events if needed.
• Answer telephone with proper etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers.
