Job summary

Big Whiskey's of Oklahoma is hiring a friendly server to provide attentive, guest-centric service in our Tulsa dining room. You will greet guests promptly, suggest menu items, take and relay orders via the Micros system, and ensure timely delivery of food and drinks.

The role requires at least 1 year of service experience, basic math and money handling skills, and the ability to stand for extended periods. Lifting trays up to 25 pounds and supporting team members as needed are also expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of service experience.
• Ability to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
• Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
• Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a Micros system.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
• Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests within 30 seconds. Make all of our guests feel comfortable and let them know you’re there to personally take care of them.
• Introduce yourself
• Inform guests of specials and menu changes
• Make recommendations you genuinely feel your guest will enjoy
• Answer questions about our food, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services
• Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders into the micros system, double-check to ensure accuracy
• Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner
• Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by the service station assignment
• Anticipate the guests' needs (napkins, drink refills, appetizer plates)
• Build Regulars
• Maintain clean service areas and pre bus tables
• Monitor and observe guests' dining experience and respond promptly to requests
• Prepare final bill, present the check, accept payment, and process charges
• Be ready to assist fellow servers and bus staff as needed
• Thank guests and invite them to return
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth operations
