Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Pennsylvania LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and provide a great shopping experience for every customer. The role involves assisting customers, handling transactions at the register, stocking merchandise, unloading trucks, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, prior retail customer service experience, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues
• Keep store clean and presentable including bathrooms, floors, and trash
• Other duties as assigned
