Job summary

Penske Entertainment invites qualified students to join the Guest Experience Operations Intern program for the 2027 season at Indianapolis. You will support staffing, onboarding, and event execution, gaining hands-on exposure to planning, setup, tear-down, and on-site problem solving across major racing events.

You will work with the operations team, report to the Senior Manager, Event Operations, and contribute to delivering exceptional experiences to fans, partners, and teams while developing

Qualifications

• IMS College Program experience preferred.
• Strong interest in event and staffing operations.
• Interest and experience in event planning and execution.
• Enthusiasm for Penske Entertainment's Vision, Mission and Values.
• Ability to quickly process and react to problems with minimal supervision.
• Innovative thinker and self-starter with perseverance to lead teams to success.
• Effective written/verbal communication and advanced computer skills.
• Effective interpersonal and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand and contribute to staffing requirements and fulfillment.
• Assist with application and onboarding activities for seasonal employees.
• Coordinate correspondence with seasonal employees.
• Manage the IMS Scheduling System employee database.
• Troubleshoot staffing and operational issues on event days.
• Conduct pre-event walkthroughs of spaces used by the operations team.
• Oversee facility set-up and tear-down operations.
• Assist with event-day problem solving across marquee and tier-two events.
• Resolve customer service-related issues and concerns.
• Participate in College Program activities and development opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor and operations team.
