Job summary

Velvet Taco Georgetown is seeking an energetic Shift Leader to manage the hourly team and engage guests with a friendly, professional approach. You will open, mid, and close shifts, uphold Velvet Taco procedures, and resolve guest concerns promptly.

This role requires strong cash-handling, POS setup, and inventory support while maintaining food safety standards in a fast-paced environment. You should lead by example, motivate teammates, and ensure a welcoming dining experience for every guest.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• 2 years of experience as a Shift Leader/Supervisor in a Restaurant Environment.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays depending on Restaurant needs.
• Regularly exposed to heat and/or humid conditions.
• Lunch and dinner rushes require multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Food handler certification and alcohol service certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages the Hourly Team Members and interacts with Guests in a friendly, professional way.
• Executes opening, mid, and closing duties following standard procedures and recipes.
• Handles guest concerns and guides toward positive resolutions.
• Cash-handling, setting up POS drawers, performing comps and voids, and managing deposits.
• Leads by example to motivate team, maintain urgency, and ensure guest satisfaction.
• De-escalates issues between team members and keeps everyone heard.
• Supports management with inventory processes.
• Maintains high food-safety standards with line checks, shelf storage checks, and cleanliness.
• Manages daily prep list and signs off on prepped items per specifications.
• Enforces safety with gloves, clean floors, and unobstructed spaces.
• Communicates a friendly, welcoming guest experience and embraces feedback.
