Commonwealth Hotels is seeking a Hotel Guest Service Agent/Front Desk Clerk in Houston. The role covers check-in/check-out, reservations, guest inquiries, payments, and cross-department coordination to deliver exceptional service.

You will interact with business and leisure travelers in a dynamic, growing area, supporting a positive guest experience with upselling opportunities and attentive problem solving.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles in hospitality, retail, or food service.
• Familiarity with computers and reservation systems (PMS).
• Strong verbal and written communication for guests and team members.
• Experience handling guest inquiries or complaints is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with check-in and check-out to ensure a smooth, welcoming experience.
• Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries and special requests with professionalism.
• Process payments for room charges, deposits, and refunds per hotel policy.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to address guest needs.
• Provide information on hotel services, local attractions, and transportation options.
• Resolve guest concerns effectively, escalating when needed.
• Maintain accurate records of stays, payments, and interactions in the PMS.
• Upsell rooms and hotel amenities to enhance guest experience.
