Job summary

Boxcar in Durham is hiring Floor Staff to greet guests, check IDs, and enforce North Carolina alcohol laws. You will help keep the arcade and bar safe, clean, and welcoming while working with the team to ensure a great guest experience.

We value hustle, clear communication, and reliability. Availability on weekends and holidays is important; experience is a plus and personality is a must. Must be 21+ with physical stamina to stand for long shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience is a plus.
• Personality is a must.
• Availability for weekends, closing shifts, events, and holidays.
• Must be 21 or older; ServSafe Alcohol Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be the gatekeeper: greet guests, check IDs, and enforce NC alcohol laws.
• Protect the vibe: monitor floor safety and coordinate with bar/security.
• Arcade first aid: assist with minor game issues and escalate as needed.
• Patrol the floor: keep area clean, bus tables, manage spills.
• Opening/closing: prepare the venue for start and end of day.
