Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a host/hostess to welcome guests, manage seating, and help maintain a smooth dining room flow. You will support servers by taking initial drinks or running food when needed, ensuring the space is clean and ready for guests.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work as a TEAM.
• Friendly and outgoing personality.
• Follow appropriate food safety guidelines.
• Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to transport and carry objects such as a high chair or booster seat.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests as they enter and depart the restaurant and hold the door open for guests.
• Seat guests according to the established plan and guests’ needs.
• Keep host/hostess stand and waiting area clean.
• Ensure menu’s remain clean and stocked.
• Complete restroom checks and refill paper products in bathrooms, as needed.
• Sanitize and wipe down all tables and sweep the area as needed and resets the table.
• Assist the servers when needed by taking the initial drink order or running food to the guests in the dining room.
• Complete daily opening and closing work to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and TEAM.
