Job summary

Denny’s Host/Hostess position located in a bustling dining room. You will greet guests, seat them, and assist other team members to ensure total guest satisfaction. The role requires strong guest service skills, reliability, and adherence to brand standards.

You will also handle basic beverage service, assist with To Go orders, and maintain a clean, organized foyer and dining area. Flexibility for holidays, nights, and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Must be able to pass all required tests and training requirements for the position.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Meets Denny’s uniform and grooming standards and maintains them throughout the shift.
• Must be able to work flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Must have excellent guest service skills.
• Must be dependable and able to learn basic tasks and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests immediately in a friendly manner upon arrival and acknowledge at departure.
• Describe promotions and suggestively sell while seating guests; take initial beverage order.
• Respond to and address guests concerns and provide total guest satisfaction.
• Assist service personnel in providing beverage orders and refills, and clearing and setting tables.
• Enter and deliver “To Go” orders correctly.
• Maintain foyer area of the restaurant to be clean, organized, and inviting to guests.
• Complete all required side-work, including deep cleaning assignments.
• Adhere to Denny’s Brand Standards and internal policies and procedures.
