Job summary

Denny's is seeking a Host/Hostess to warmly greet guests, seat them promptly, and begin the dining experience with attentive service. The role emphasizes guest satisfaction, accuracy in cash handling, and teamwork within a fast-paced restaurant environment.

You will assist other staff, manage seating rotations, and uphold Denny's Guiding Principles while delivering consistent, friendly service to every guest.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
• Must be able to pass all required tests and training requirements for the position
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Meets Denny's uniform and grooming standards and maintains them throughout the shift
• Must be able to work flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends
• Must have excellent guest service skills
• Must be dependable and able to learn basic tasks and follow instructions
• Must place a value on diversity and shows respect for others

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and seats them promptly and courteously
• Describes promotions and upsells while seating guests; takes initial beverage order
• Handles cash, credit card, and discount transactions following policy
• Assists other team members and maintains cleanliness of guest areas and menus
• Maintains guest waiting list and seating order; reports issues to supervisor
