Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in a restaurant is preferred.
• Prior POS system experience preferred.
• Ability to count back change and calculate basic math.
• Organizational skills are essential.
• Self-directed and able to maximize time, resources and technology.
• Excellent verbal and telephone communication with guests.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Seat all guests in a timely and courteous fashion and present menus.
• Provide guests with estimated waiting times and accommodate seating requests.
• Seat guests based on preferences and flow balance across sections.
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand and menus.
• Communicate with kitchen and staff to ensure steady dining flow.
• Maintain a wait list and monitor table availability.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
• If applicable in outlet, use POS to ring up to-go orders and basic transactions.
