Riggs Washington DC is seeking a friendly Host to assist with floor management, host guests, and handle reservations in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will welcome guests warmly, manage reservations, and help create a memorable experience for every visitor.

Strong communication and a willingness to learn are essential. Prior restaurant experience is helpful but not required, and a calm, elegant demeanor will shine in this role at the historic Riggs location in Washington, DC.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience is not required; a fun and welcoming personality is a must.
• Minimum of one year of restaurant experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in new situations.
• Possess poise, elegance and calm demeanor in all situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with floor management, hosting, and guest outreach.
• Welcome guests in a warm, personable, sincere, and friendly manner.
• Provide and create a positive environment for everyone in the restaurant.
• Receive calls and book reservations for guests.
• Obtain guest information in preparation for reservations and arrival.
• Anticipate guests’ needs and create personal, memorable experiences and solutions.
• Perform all other duties as requested by the restaurant manager.
