Job summary

Riggs Washington DC is seeking a Front of House Host for our iconic Penn Quarter property. You will welcome guests warmly, help create a welcoming atmosphere, and assist with reservations to ensure memorable dining experiences in Café Riggs and related venues.

Prior hotel experience is not required, but a friendly, polished demeanor and strong communication are essential. This full-time role offers growth within the Lore Group and a focus on guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience is not required – fun and welcoming personality is a must.
• A minimum of one year of restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
• Willingness to learn and adapt in new situations
• Possess poise, elegance and calm demeanor in all situations
• Exceptional organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a warm, personable, sincere, and friendly manner.
• Provide and create a positive environment for everyone in the restaurant.
• Receive calls and book reservations for the guest.
• Obtain guestinformation in preparation for their reservation and arrival.
• Anticipate guest needs, and create personal and memorable experience and solutions.
• Perform all other duties as requested by the restaurant manager.
