Job summary

The Indigo Road Hospitality Group in Washington, DC is seeking a friendly Host to warmly greet guests and manage seating in a fast-paced environment. You will coordinate with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.

Responsibilities include taking OpenTable reservations, communicating wait times, and assisting guests with seating requests. A minimum of one year of host experience is required, with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• At least one year of restaurant host experience is required.
• Positive energy and willingness to assist fellow staff and work as a team player.
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees and guests.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Constant standing/walking with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling or lifting.

Responsibilities

• Take reservations using OpenTable.
• Greet guests warmly on arrival and thank them on departure.
• When seating is limited, provide estimated wait times and manage seating requests.
• Act as liaison between kitchen and dining room and relay messages to staff and managers as needed.
