Job summary

Ruby Tuesday in Florence, SC is seeking a Server Assistant to warmly greet guests, seat them using the Table Management System (TMS) and support the service team to ensure guests leave happy.

You will assist with delivering food and drinks, maintain a clean front area, handle takeout orders, and help with guest questions while following food safety standards; no prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• No prior work experience required.
• Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service.
• Ability to understand and comply with proper food handling and serving techniques and with federal, state and local serving regulations.
• Ability to process cash handling, credit card and room charge transactions in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Ability to operate a computer, calculator, phone and other office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Table Management System (TMS) to seat guests and manage guest flow.
• Maintain a welcoming and friendly attitude and support a teamwork-based environment.
• Greet guests and assign tables using TMS; notify guests if there is a wait.
• Inform guests of features and promotions and offer menu suggestions.
• Assist team by delivering food and beverages and refilling drinks as needed.
• Set up and maintain the server assistant stand and front lobby area; keep it clean and orderly.
• Answer phones and assist with guest questions in a courteous manner.
