Job summary

The Press Club Grill in Concord, NC is seeking a guest-focused host/hostess to greet and seat guests, manage reservations and seating, and answer phones. You will ensure guests are welcomed warmly, manage wait lists, and assist staff to maintain a smooth dining flow.

Responsibilities include guiding guests to tables, providing menus, describing menu items when asked, and coordinating with bar staff for to-go orders.

• Greet and seat guests.
• Manage table seating and answer phones.
• Open door for guests as they enter and exit the restaurant.
• Promote restaurant policies for reservations and call-ahead seating.
• Make guests comfortable while waiting and manage the wait list.
• Take guests to tables and provide menus; describe and suggest menu items as appropriate.
• Answer phones and take to-go orders; relay to bartender as needed.
• Maintain a clean entrance area and observe the dining floor for safety and cleanliness.
• Assist service staff with clearing plates and maintaining tables.
• Ensure restroom areas are stocked and clean.
