Job summary

Northgate Country Club and Walden Golf Club is seeking a hostess to greet guests, manage seating, and handle reservations in a busy dining room. You will answer phone calls, provide menus, and assist staff to ensure exceptional service.

A high school diploma is preferred; you must stand for long periods, lift trays safely, and follow instructions. Restaurant experience is a plus and a friendly, professional demeanor is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
• Does high-quality work while unsupervised.
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food when necessary.
• Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed.
• Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Able to work in a busy restaurant environment.
• Restaurant experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests as they enter and manage waiting list.
• Provide menus and answer initial questions.
• Seat guests at tables or in waiting areas.
• Assign guests to tables while keeping rotation balanced for servers.
• Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service.
• Respond to complaints and help resolve them.
• Answer phone calls, take reservations, and answer questions.
• Know the menu to assist guests effectively.
• Assist other positions in the restaurant as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service.
