Job summary

TSFR Applebee’s is seeking a host/hostess to greet guests, seat them, and manage the flow of the dining area. The role supports servers by handling initial drink orders and facilitating seating arrangements to optimize space and service efficiency.

Candidates should be friendly, reliable, and able to stand for extended periods, with availability for evenings and weekends. This role emphasizes teamwork and a positive guest experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work as a TEAM
• Friendly and outgoing personality
• Follow appropriate food safety guidelines
• Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to transport and carry objects such as a high chair or booster seat
• Ability to wipe, sweep and carry plates to kitchen

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests as they enter and depart the restaurant and hold the door open for guests
• Seat guests according to the established plan and guests’ needs
• Keep host/hostess stand and waiting area clean
• Ensure menu’s remain clean and stocked
• Complete restroom checks and refill paper products in bathrooms, as needed
• Sanitize and wipe down all tables and sweep the area as needed and resets the table
• Assist the servers when needed by taking the initial drink order or running food to the guests in the dining room
• Complete daily opening and closing work to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and TEAM
