Job summary

Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill + Bar is seeking a friendly and energetic host/hostess to greet guests, seat them, and manage dining room flow. You will keep the host area tidy, assist servers with tasks, and help ensure a smooth dining experience for all guests.

The role requires reliability for varied shifts including evenings and weekends, and the ability to stand for long periods. A team-oriented attitude and adherence to food safety guidelines are essential.

Responsibilities

Greet all guests as they enter and depart the restaurant and hold the door open for guests (host duties).
Seat guests according to the established plan and guests’ needs.
Keep host/hostess stand and waiting area clean and organized.
Ensure menu’s remain clean and stocked.
Complete restroom checks and refill paper products as needed.
Sanitize and wipe down tables and reset them for guests.
Assist servers by taking initial drink orders or delivering food when needed.
Complete daily opening and closing duties to ensure a clean and safe environment.
