Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in customer service or hosting.
• Must speak fluent English; other languages preferred.
• Strong communication skills with guests, employees and third parties.
• Reading and writing abilities used for reservations and seating assignments.
• Must be able to read, review and understand seating charts.
• Basic mathematical skills are used frequently.

Responsibilities

• Answers the phones and takes messages/reservations.
• Maintains an accurate wait list when needed.
• Welcomes guests on arrival and bids farewell to create a positive experience.
• Greet guests in a friendly, upbeat manner and smile.
• Communicate effectively with all guests.
• Report problems to management immediately.
• Coordinate seating to provide fast, courteous service.
• Occasionally bus tables to expedite seating of waiting guests.
• Anticipate needs of scheduled special parties.
