Job summary

Cowboy-Jack in Bloomington, MN is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess to manage guest check-ins, reservations, and seating with a strong focus on hospitality. You will greet guests, coordinate with servers and managers, and ensure OpenTable information is accurate for smooth service.

This hourly position requires excellent communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dining room, seven days a week, with shifts starting at around 9 AM or later.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with management, servers, team members and guests.
• Basic reading skills required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must visually scan restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables.
• Ability to work well with others and independently.
• Ability to organize and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Check in all employees and highlight on the OpenTable system.
• Answer the phone, take reservations, and take takeout orders.
• Ensure menus are clean and organized.
• Greet, check in and seat guests.
• Print special chits from OpenTable with instructions for servers.
• Review open table reservations and plan the shift.
• Capture important guest information in OpenTable.
• Work with the manager on the floor to ensure proper wait time.
• Keep restrooms and the host stand clean, stocked and organized.
• Interact with guests to ensure a positive dining experience.
