Job summary

Water's Edge Resort and Spa in Westbrook, CT is seeking a friendly, professional Host to join our hospitality team. This part-time role requires multitasking and ensuring every guest has an excellent experience.

You will greet guests, manage reservations and seating, answer phone calls, coordinate with servers and management to maintain smooth guest flow, and help keep the entrance area clean while delivering outstanding customer service from arrival to departure.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly and professional communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well with a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand and use stairs for the duration of shift.
• Previous restaurant or customer-service experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests with a positive attitude.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating in computer system.
• Answer phone calls and assist with guest questions.
• Coordinate with servers and management to maintain smooth guest flow.
• Keep the entrance and host area clean and organized.
• Provide excellent customer service from arrival to departure.
• Assist waitstaff as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
