Job summary

The Waterfront Beach Resort, a Hilton Hotel, in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking a part-time Host to greet guests, manage seating, and ensure a superb first impression. You will escort guests to tables, present menus, and coordinate with shifts for smooth service days and evenings.

Typical duties include maintaining the dining room setup, recording reservations, and assisting with side work. Training is provided, and a professional phone manner is essential to handle guest inquiries and requests.

Qualifications

• Restaurant greeter experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with guests and associates, with patience and diplomacy.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle busy periods.
• Professional and polished phone etiquette.
• Training provided.
• Well organized, detail-oriented, with excellent follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet guests as they arrive, offer seating choices, escort to table and present menu.
• Read, maintain and log daily communications to coordinate shifts and management.
• Maintain dining room setup and enforce grooming standards; assign stations to staff.
• Receive, record and coordinate reservations and special functions.
• Perform opening and closing duties; assist with side work like cleaning, stocking, and folding napkins.
