Job summary

Seascape Beach Resort in Aptos, CA is seeking a friendly part-time Restaurant Host to greet and seat guests, manage reservations, and assist during service. You will operate a POS system, handle payments, and provide excellent guest experiences in a resort setting.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or GED, and familiarity with hospitality protocols. Food handler certification is required, with TIPS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Prior resort and/or hospitality experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a positive, welcoming attitude.
• Seat guests, provide menus, and assist with seating.
• Answer phone calls, take to-go orders, and record reservations.
• Monitor dining area cleanliness and setup.
• Inform guests of specials and features.
• Direct guests to meeting rooms or resort rooms.
• Operate the cash register and process payments.
• Assist with serving and food/beverage preparation as needed.
• Coordinate with restaurant manager on reservation discrepancies.
• Support bussers and help set up or clear tables for reservations.
• Ensure compliance with certifications and standards as required.
