Job summary

The Dunlin, Auberge Collection, a coastal luxury retreat on Kiawah River near Charleston, is seeking a Restaurant Host to uphold our welcoming atmosphere from arrival to departure.

You will greet guests, manage seating and reservations, coordinate with staff, keep menus and wine lists updated, and respond to guest inquiries. A strong English-speaking background and flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, are required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in customer service or hospitality, preferably in a high-end setting.
• Strong communication skills and fluent English.
• Able to obtain state and local certifications (food handlers, alcohol training).
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, manage check-ins and seating with courteous service.
• Answer phones, take reservations, record in reservation systems.
• Coordinate with staff to optimize guest placement and prevent overbooking.
• Prepare station charts and guide servers for optimal table setup.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve complaints promptly.
• Know hotel services and local attractions; collaborate with F&B management.
