Job summary

Coury Hospitality is hiring for a Hospitality Host at Ambassador Hotel Wichita, a premier luxury venue in downtown Wichita. The role focuses on guest welcome, seating coordination, and ensuring a seamless dining experience.

You will work with Servers, Bartenders, and Leadership to maintain a warm, professional atmosphere and to uphold impeccable guest services in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in restaurant, hotel, or hospitality preferred.
• Must meet all applicable state and local age requirements.
• Must obtain and maintain any required food handler certifications.
• Experience using restaurant reservation platforms such as OpenTable, SevenRooms, or similar systems preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and guest service skills.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage reservations, waitlists, walk-in guests, and seating assignments to ensure efficient dining room flow and outstanding guest experiences.
• Coordinate seating with servers to optimize service pace and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Use reservation systems to record guest arrivals, special requests, and preferences.
• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and introduce their Server.
• Collaborate with Servers, Bartenders, Culinary, and Leadership for smooth dining room operations.
• Communicate guest preferences, allergies, dietary restrictions, and celebrations to the team.
• Maintain a polished, organized host stand, entrance, and lobby area.
