Job summary

The Whit, a luxury boutique hotel in New Orleans, seeks an exceptional Steward to be the face of our guest experience. You will roam the property with an iPad, guiding guests from arrival through dining and departure with warmth, discretion, and professional poise.

You will coordinate arrivals and escorts, manage room service and restaurant reservations, and share insider tips on amenities and neighborhood experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in luxury hotels or upscale hospitality.
• Experience with Property Management Systems such as Mews/Stayntouch/Cloudbeds.
• Experience with Toast POS or similar POS.
• Experience using Resy or OpenTable.
• Able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
• Willing to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with warmth and confidence.
• Coordinate arrivals, departures, and guest room escorts.
• Process check-ins, payments, and guest requests using PMS.
• Manage restaurant reservations, seating, and waitlists.
• Be primary guest contact throughout stay.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Porters, F&B, and Leadership to deliver exceptional service.
• Handle room service and to-go orders with Porter,
• Share knowledge of hotel amenities and local experiences.
• Maintain an active presence throughout the property.
• Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns with professionalism.
