Job summary

Valor is seeking a host/hostess to greet guests, seat them, and coordinate the dining room flow. You will ensure a welcoming entry, confirm reservations, and keep the seating chart aligned with kitchen and servers for smooth service.

Qualifications

• You are the first point of contact for guests and greet them warmly.
• Handle special requests and waiting lists with professionalism.
• Knowledge of restaurant flow and basic systems plus a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, escort to table, pull chair, and present menus.
• Keep entry doors clean, inviting, and debris-free.
• Wipe menus and ensure items are up-to-date and complete.
• Inform servers of location and assigned station.
• Plan seating chart and manage evening reservations.
• Check reservations with phone staff to confirm bookings.
• Coordinate with manager for private party staffing.
• Verify menu item availability with kitchen.
• Maintain constant contact with servers, manager, and kitchen for timing.
• Greet guests leaving to ensure a pleasant experience.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and escalate issues to a manager.
