Job summary

The Valley Hotel Curio Collection by Hilton is seeking a friendly Greeter/Host for Ironwood Restaurant. This role greets guests, seats them, presents menus, and coordinates with servers to ensure a smooth dining experience. You will be the first and last impression for guests, helping create a welcoming Birmingham experience.

Two-way communication with the dining team is essential, as is a professional appearance, reliability, and the ability to handle reservations and busy periods with courtesy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant hospitality experience preferred.
• 3–6 months in a food/beverage service environment.
• Must read, speak and understand English; able to lift 20–40 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, escort to tables, present menus, and pull out chairs.
• Maintain a clean, inviting entry and dining area; ensure menus are ready.
• Coordinate seating and reservations with servers and kitchen to balance guest flow.
• Greet departing guests and confirm satisfaction; report issues to management.
• Support smooth restaurant operations and assist the dining room team as needed.
