Job summary

Ironwood Restaurant at The Valley Hotel Curio by Hilton in the Birmingham area is hiring a friendly Greeter/Host (full-time or part-time). You will greet guests, escort them to tables, present menus, and coordinate seating to ensure a smooth dining flow.

You will work closely with servers and kitchen staff, maintain inviting entry areas, and help front-of-house operations run efficiently. The ideal candidate has HS diploma, 3–6 months of guest-service experience, and the stamina to stand long

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–6 months experience in food/beverage services.
• Must clearly see details, read checks and menus in dim lighting.
• Able to lift/push/carry 20–40 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Able to read, speak, understand English.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, escort to table, and present menus.
• Inform servers of location and station; plan seating and reservations.
• Check reservations by phone; coordinate with managers for private parties.
• Maintain inviting entry doors and clean menus; ensure timing with guest flow.
• Ensure guests have a pleasant dining experience from arrival to departure.
