Odyssey Restaurant in Granada Hills, CA is seeking a courteous Host/Hostess to warmly greet guests, manage seating, and coordinate with servers to ensure a smooth dining experience.

You will answer reservations, provide accurate wait times, maintain the front-of-house area, and assist with events. The role requires excellent communication, strong organization, and flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A friendly, outgoing personality with a passion for customer service.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a busy environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in a customer-facing role is preferred but not required.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays are Mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm and welcoming attitude.
• Manage the seating chart and efficiently seat guests while balancing guest preferences and server sections.
• Provide accurate wait times and ensure guests are comfortable during their wait.
• Answer phone calls, take reservations, and manage the guest list.
• Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including the host stand and entryway.
• Communicate effectively with servers, bussers, and managers to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and a positive attitude.
• Assist with other tasks as needed, including helping with special events.
