Job summary

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Goodyear, AZ seeks a friendly Host to welcome guests, guide them to tables, and set a warm tone for every visit. You will manage reservations with OpenTable, maintain a clean host stand, and collaborate with the Front of House team.

No prior restaurant experience required; we train and promote from within. Flexible schedules with part-time opportunities; competitive hourly wage; growth through extensive training and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours or more per day.
• Capability to bend, kneel, and lift items up to 25 pounds.
• Patient, guest-oriented mindset and positive attitude.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with teammates.
• Attention to cleanliness and safety procedures.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly as they arrive and thank them as they leave.
• Open doors and create a friendly, inviting first impression.
• Escort guests to their table and set expectations for their experience.
• Manage reservations and waitlists using OpenTable with accuracy and care.
• Communicate wait times clearly and professionally during peak volume.
• Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming host stand and entryway.
• Support the dining room by bussing and resetting tables as needed.
• Partner with the Front of House team to ensure smooth, seamless service.
