Job summary

The Cheesecake Factory in Buffalo, NY is seeking a friendly Host to create a warm first impression, greet guests, seat parties, and manage the waitlist and reservations while guiding guests to explore our menu.

You will quote accurate wait times, coordinate seating rotations, and support smooth guest flow. This role emphasizes guest service, teamwork, and keeping a clean, organized dining room in a fast-paced, full-service setting.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, customer service, or food service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on guest service.
• Dependable, dedicated, reliable, and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Adaptable and patient, taking pride in providing excellent guest relations.
• Team player with a positive, patient attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, stand for extended periods, bend, reach and twist.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests creating a positive first impression.
• Use a floor plan and seating rotation to assign tables promoting guest satisfaction.
• Provide accurately quoted wait times while managing reservations to support smooth guest flow.
• Support front-of-house operations and teamwork to enhance the guest experience.
• Answer phones with a sense of urgency and assist with general questions.
• Demonstrate ownership of sidework and closing tasks.
• Multitask and work well under pressure while maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Work with speed and efficiency in a fast paced, full-service restaurant.
