Job summary

Avvio in Cranston, RI is seeking a Host to join our team. Our approachable, yet traditional Italian menu features classic dishes and wood-fire entrees that use locally sourced ingredients and are part of Newport Restaurant Group.

Located in Garden City Center, Avvio is dedicated to delivering warm hospitality. In this Host role, you will coordinate seating to ensure fast, courteous service and work in a dynamic, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule required for days, evenings, weekends and some holidays; Sundays are required.
• Restaurant and OpenTable experience are preferred, but training is available for the right candidate.
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 25-50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Schedules dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for diners.
• Greets guests, escorts them to tables, and provides menus.
• Answers phone.
• Communicates guests’ needs to service staff and management.
