Job summary

Avvio, part of Newport Restaurant Group in Cranston, RI, is seeking a Host to coordinate seating for guests and ensure fast, courteous service. The role requires a friendly, outgoing hospitality mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.

Compensation is hourly ($16–$17) with benefits including sick leave, 401k match, employee ownership options, dining discounts, and wellness programs. Prior OpenTable experience is a plus, but training may be provided.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends and some holidays; Sundays required.
• Restaurant and OpenTable experience preferred; training available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Schedule dining reservations and arrange parties or special services for diners.
• Greets guests, escorts them to tables, and provides menus.
• Answers phone and takes reservations.
• Communicates guests’ needs to service staff and management.
