Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our restaurant team. You will be the first point of contact for guests, greet them warmly, seat guests, and coordinate with kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth dining experiences.

The ideal candidate has strong communication, organizational skills, and a passion for hospitality. Flexible availability including evenings and weekends is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• A passion for hospitality and providing exceptional guest services.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to coordinate guest needs.
• Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items, specials, and restaurant services.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Support the restaurant team during busy periods by helping with various tasks as needed.
