Job summary

BLACK BEAR DINER VALLEJO is seeking a courteous team member who greets guests warmly and provides attentive service throughout breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Responsibilities include taking orders, handling payments, and keeping the dining and front-of-house areas clean and organized.

Candidates should be punctual, maintain a neat appearance in a Black Bear uniform, and effectively communicate using the radio headset. Training will emphasize guest satisfaction and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be punctual to begin shift.
• Maintain neat, clean appearance with proper uniform and name badge.
• Able to communicate through Radio headset during shift.
• Greet guests warmly and check satisfaction during meal.
• Handle cash/credit transactions and balance sales at end of shift.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a professional, friendly, family-oriented manner.
• Take To Go orders and ensure accuracy of packaged orders.
• Balance all sales at end of shift.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining area, restrooms, and cash register stations.
• Assist with pie case stocking and labeling for freshness.
• Respond to guest concerns with professionalism and escalate when needed.
