Job summary

Batch & Brine Lafayette Inc. seeks a courteous Host to welcome guests, collect names, and coordinate seating with a friendly, family-oriented approach. You will greet guests as they arrive, manage the waiting area, and communicate with the team using a radio headset to ensure smooth dining flow.

Responsibilities include presenting menus, announcing specials, and thanking guests at departure, while maintaining a neat appearance and adhering to the restaurant’s uniform standards.

Qualifications

• Be able to stand, walk and stay on feet for prolonged periods (up to four hours).
• Must be able to write guest names and use the guest paging system.
• Courteous, cheerful and able to engage guests in friendly conversation.
• Able to multi-task and coordinate with team using a radio headset.
• Maintain a neat, clean appearance and wear proper uniform.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests professionally, record seating needs and assign tables.
• Provide menus, announce specials and ensure guest comfort at tables.
• Maintain cleanliness of waiting area and entry windows; call for bussing as needed.
• Assist with flow of guests, control crowd and assist Bussers as required.
• Always thank guests and invite return visits.
