Job summary

Evening Entertainment Group’s Backyard Gilbert venue is seeking a part-time Server to provide best-in-class service to guests. You will take orders, deliver meals and drinks, handle payments, and maintain a welcoming dining environment.

Successful candidates will have strong customer service skills, be 21+, and complete the restaurant training program. Prior server experience is preferred and you will help support a lively hospitality team.

Qualifications

• Experience as a server is preferred.
• Must successfully complete restaurant’s training course.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately.
• Ability to operate point-of-sale systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they are seated, ensure table is clean and stocked.
• Distribute menus and present daily specials.
• Answer questions regarding the menu.
• Take food and beverage orders and deliver to the kitchen.
• Deliver food, beverages, condiments to customers.
• Ensure food is prepared correctly and to customers’ satisfaction; return incorrect orders.
• Collect plates and clear tables as guests finish meals.
• Prepare checks and collect payments.
• Assist with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning and stocking.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Overview: As a Server at Backyard Gilbert, you will be responsible for providing our guests with best-in-class service, product, and entertainment. You will consistently engage the guests to build rapport and enhance the guest experience while anticipating any additional needs to help ensure each guest has a wonderful and unique visit to our venues. You will play a vital role in both maintaining a positive and productive work environment for our team, while upholding the highest standard of service that defines our brand(s). The Server provides table service to restaurant patrons by taking orders for food and beverages, delivering orders to the table, and ensuring that patrons have a pleasant dining experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greets customers as they are seated at the table; ensures the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided.
• Distributes menus and presents the daily specials.
• Answers questions regarding the menu.
• Takes food and beverage orders and delivers them to the kitchen.
• Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers.
• Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customers’ satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen.
• Collects plates and clears the table as customers finish their meals.
• Prepares customers’ checks and collects payments.
• Assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:

• Previous experience as a server preferred.
• Must successfully complete restaurant’s training course.
• Must be 21 years or older

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
