Job summary

Viejas Casino & Resort is seeking an Hotel Operations Supervisor to assist in day-to-day front desk operations and lead the hotel team to deliver high-quality service. The role involves guiding staff, scheduling shifts, and ensuring policy adherence in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Candidates should have at least 2 years in hospitality, a GED or high school diploma, and preferably 1 year in a supervisory role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• California Responsible Beverage Service Training required upon hire.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in hospitality.
• 1 year in supervisory role preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day hotel operations in the assigned area.
• Guide and direct hotel team members to ensure service requirements are understood and met.
• Schedule team members to ensure all areas and shifts are adequately covered.
• Provide cross-training of team members for all shift-related duties and responsibilities.
• Provide coaching, monitoring, and disciplining of team members when performance is not up to par.
• Evaluate and monitor team member performance on an ongoing basis.
• Develop, evaluate and recommend team members for promotions.
• Participate in recruitment of all hotel positions and make hiring decisions.
• Enforce all team member policies and company policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
• Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with team members and guests.
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment.
• Adhere to all company and department policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Provide direct supervision of team members in the assigned area of hotel operations.
