Job summary

The Carroll Companies is seeking a Gallery Host/Front Desk Associate to deliver exceptional guest experiences at Hyatt Place Greensboro Downtown. You will assist guests with check-in/out, handle luggage and guest requests, and provide information about hotel services while maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in hospitality, comfort with MS Office, and a proactive, customer-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years related experience in hotel/hospitality industry with knowledge of hospitality principles and practices.
• Proficiency using MS Office and relative software systems.
• Must be trustworthy, punctual, have a positive attitude with attention to detail, and be committed to high quality customer service.
• Self-starter with proactive, solutions-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment.
• Organized, able to prioritize, multitask, and work independently or in a team.
• Able to diffuse and resolve conflicts with a customer-service mindset.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Physically able to stand for long periods and lift/carry up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with check in and check out processes, including address and credit verification and balance bank posting charges.
• Provide luggage assistance, directions, wake-up calls, and future reservations as needed.
• Operate the front desk, answer hotel telephones, and inform guests of services and room amenities.
• Be familiar with POS system operation and follow hotel policies for cash handling and security.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
