Job summary

Davidson Harbor Island Resort seeks a Front Desk Agent to welcome guests, handle check-in/check-out, and provide local recommendations. You will coordinate with departments to ensure a seamless stay and maintain accurate records. The role calls for strong communication, cash handling, and a positive, guest‑oriented attitude.

Experience in hospitality and ability to work weekends/holidays is preferred. This on-site position at Newport, RI offers opportunities for growth in a premier resort

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior cash handling experience preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Very good computer skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of hotel or resort operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests with a warm attitude.
• Efficiently handle check-in and check-out procedures with accuracy.
• Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Process guest payments and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest requests for a seamless experience.
• Maintain front desk area cleanliness and organization.
• Assist with reservations and answer phone calls.
