Job summary

The Sonesta Gwinnett Place Atlanta, now entering a transformation to Hyatt Regency, seeks a detail‑driven Convention Services Manager in Duluth, GA. You will guide clients from turnover through departure, coordinating with Sales, Catering, F&B, and hotel departments to deliver exceptional events.

You will lead planning for meetings, conferences, weddings, and group events while ensuring clear communication, proactive problem solving, and high guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• College degree or two years of hotel experience.
• Previous experience in a similar or related position.
• Additional certifications welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with meeting planners, corporate clients, social groups, and other event contacts.
• Serve as primary client liaison from turnover through departure.
• Lead planning and execution of meetings, conferences, conventions, weddings, and other group events.
• Create and maintain accurate BEOs, group resumes, event timelines, and other operational documents.
• Collaborate with Sales and Catering for smooth transition from contracting to planning, execution, and post-event follow-up.
