Job summary

Westin Hotels & Resorts in Atlanta seeks a Group Sales Manager to act as the on-site liaison for group sales, contract and close group business, and conduct site inspections. You will verify turnover to Event Management and drive revenue by upselling opportunities while delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.

Additionally, you will respond to market conditions, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with Area Sales to identify new group opportunities to meet revenue

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area.
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the on-property liaison for group sales and closes group business.
• Conducts site inspections and ensures turnover to events management for quality service delivery.
• Achieves group revenue goals by upselling opportunities and negotiating contracts.
• Partners with Area Sales to identify new group/catering business and revenue opportunities.

Education
