Job summary

American Cruise Lines seeks a Cruise & Excursions Director to lead on-board guest engagement and shore excursion programs. The role demands energetic, creative leadership with exceptional presentation skills and a passion for guest satisfaction.

You will work closely with hotel operations, vendors, and guests to deliver memorable experiences across multiple itineraries. The position includes 7-day work weeks onboard during cruises, with complex coordination of activities, events, and shore

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality, tourism, or event management preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Energetic, polished presentation skills and confident public speaking.
• Strong social skills and a can-do attitude.
• TWIC credential or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and execute engaging entertainment, enrichment and activity programs to enhance guest experience.
• Coordinate ship-to-shore activities and excursions with vendors and shore operators.
• Communicate via daily programs, PA system and direct guest interactions.
• Greet guests at departure/return from shore excursions; accompany guests on daily excursions.
• Promote on-board sales and brand loyalty; manage inventory and vendor relations.
• Oversee safety briefings with the Captain and assist in turning around days.
• Maintain event spaces (lounge setup, A/V, music) and prepare materials for each cruise.
• Serve as company ambassador and representative during engagements ashore and onboard.
